Learn to Row

Description

If you've seen the movie "Boys in the Boat" - you have seen rowing.  Join the North Tahoe Aquatic Center on the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe in our Learn to Row program in Tahoe City.  Taught by Certified USRowing coaches, this program will teach you the basics to glide effortlessly and safely across the water- the feeling of rowing has in fact been compared to flying!  Rowing is a low-impact, whole-body fitness sport that can be enjoyed throughout a lifetime.  Additionally, rowing offers the best overall opportunity for both male and female youth athletes to earn athletic scholarships (according to NCAA statistics). This program is open to all, ages 14-99 and beyond - no prior experience necessary and all equipment provided.  Additionally, this program is accompanied at all times by a program safety boat.  Two sessions will be held this summer: June to July and July to August (with options for late summer/fall competition for the adventurous).  Max enrollment 8 people per session.
