Tahoe City Golf Course Irrigation Replacement Project
Project Overview
TCPUD is investing $2.1 Million to replace Tahoe City Golf Course's aging irrigation system. The irrigation system at Tahoe City Golf Course has been in place since 1976, well beyond the typical 30-year lifespan for mountain environments. Thanks to ongoing maintenance, it has lasted longer than expected, but it’s time for a full replacement.
The new system will be more water efficient, have improved turf coverage, and provide a better golf experience for customers.
The project is funded by TCPUD property tax revenue and golf course revenue. This project is not supported by water and sewer rates.
- Project Status
Updated 3/21/25 - TCPUD awarded a construction contract to DHR Golf at our February 21 Board of Directors meeting. Construction will commence in May 2025 and is expected to be complete by mid-September 2025.
- Golf Course Operations
TCPUD is committed to minimizing disruptions during the 2025 golf season. However, golfers can expect that at least one hole at a time will be closed. There will be some days where two holes may be closed at a time while construction is underway.
